Mt. Manaslu Expedition


Mt. Manaslu is 8th highest mountain in the world. It is located in Mansari Himal at 8156 m and listed as eight thousander ultra, lies in Gorkha District. The word Manaslu came from Sanskrit word Manas which means “Soul or Sprit of Mountain”. The Climb of Mt. Manaslu was started from 1956 after the successful summit of Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu of Japanese Expedition group.


Mt.Manaslu is a technical mountain to climb. Manaslu base camp lies in slop and flat area, from where you can see the summit to. The way from Camp one to Camp to is slope and non-difficult, having many crevasses on the way. The way between camp one to camp two is almost vertical and steppe. After Camp two the climber may need oxygen Cylinder.The best Season for climbing this mountain is Autumn season from September first to October last.

The expedition begans from Arughat Gorkha after 5-6 drive from Kathmandu to Dhading. Manang Dharapani is another option. This expedition offers beautiful mountain sceneries of many mountain peaks like Dhawalagiri, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. It is also best to learn and enjoy with Gurung and Tibetan Culture. The final destination for trek is Sama Gaon which is nearby market for Base Camp.

Rara Lake & Khaptad Trek

This extraordinary trek takes you from Rara Lake, Nepal’s biggest lake, to Khaptad National Park, a hidden gem in Far West Nepal. The serenely beautiful Rara Lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and thick pine forests. It is a stunning sight, especially on a still day when the mountains and clouds reflect in the tranquil waters. Khaptad offers you a beautiful variety of landscapes, with rolling green hills, moorlands, steep slopes and streams. 567 species of flora have been recorded in this protected area, including rhododendron forests, oak and pine forests. From the park you can see the Api and Saipal Himalayan ranges. Khaptad is great for spotting wildlife and birds, with 23 species of mammals and 287 types of birds. Mammal species symbolic of the park are leopard, Himalayan black bear, wild dog and musk deer. Bird species include the beautiful Impeyan pheasant (danphe; Nepal’s national bird), Peregrin falcon, the white rumped vulture and many types of partridges, flycatchers, bulbuls, cuckoos and eagles. Go into the wild and venture through thick forests, alpine landscapes and remote mountain villages which have seen very few tourists. This is a perfect trek for the adventurer looking for a real wilderness experience. The accommodation on this trek is a mix of camping and basic tea houses. In the winter season please check with a your travel agency if teahouses are open.

Manaslu Circuit Trek Nepal


Mt. Manaslu, The eighth highest peak of the world which is elevated at the height of 8,163m (26,781 ft) above the sea level is located in the ridges of Mansiri Himal in Gorkha District of Nepal. Regarded as the “mountain of spirit”, Mt. Manaslu is identified as Mt. Kutung in Tibet. If you are one of those, who just started trekking and if you consider yourself a fit, then Manaslu Circuit Trekking, legally opened since 1991 is well suited for you. However, one has to make sure good cardiovascular fitness as well before actually planning to embark journey. This journey is best for those who look for adventures but fewer technicalities. Manaslu Circuit is by far the concealed regions of Nepal, not much of exploration have been done here. This round trekking displays breathtaking views of mountains with fascinating diversity of flora and fauna. Cultural diversity of indigenous groups like Gurung and Sherpa captivates even more. Manaslu Trek route is spread up to Nepal – Tibet Border, but it is restricted to be there. This circuit has been best alternative to Annapurna Circuit. This has to be one of the most loved tourist destinations in Nepal.



Manaslu Trek starts from Shotikhola; via Arughat. Arughat is a small city which borders two district Gorkha and Dhading. The trail starts alongside the Budhi Gandaki River roams around and climbs towards the region known as Nupri. Higher we move, rich Tibetan influence can be seen on the customs and traditions. This region is home to many endangered wild animals like Snow leopard and Musk Deer. The highest point in this trek is the “Larkya La pass” situated at the height of 5,160m which is considered as one of the most challenging passes crossing the Himalayas. Another attraction of the trip is Pungyen Gumba at 4,400m.

The weather is generally unpredictable, the temperature varies from -10 degree C to 20 degree C. It is strongly recommend carrying warmer clothes no matter which season you travel. This Trek has the flawless balance of Nepali culture and mountain scenery.

Tamang Heritage Trail (Langtang)


Tamang heritage trail trek starts from Syabrubesi (1460m) and passes through Gatlang, Chilime, Thuman, Timure and Briddim tamang villlage.The people of this region are mostly Tibetans who came from Kerung in Tibet across the border and settled in Nepal. In earlier days, the citizenship of Nepal would not be offered to real Tibetans, so they changed their ethnicity to tamang, which is what they still write till date. The cultural and traditions of these people are similar to the Tibetan across the border. Gatlang is a traditional Tamang village. Gatlang set high on a hillside among terraced fields is the Tamang settlement. 


One can also visit a Tamang monastery and the beautiful Parvatikunda Lake at Gatlang. From the viewpoint at Bahundanda near these settlements, called Parwati Kunda and one can also see a panoramic view of Lantang, Kerung, and the Ganesh Himal, Sanjen Himal ranges. Bathing in the hot, healing waters of the natural spring at Tatopani is an exhilarating experience. Nagathali (3165m, view point) in Thuman VDC is surrounded by beautiful views of Langtang, Kerung, Ganesh Himal and Sanjen Himal ranges. Nagthali used to be a popular meditation center for the local monks and priests. The ancient monasteries and houses adorned with rich wood engravings at Thuman village are an unforgettable experience. Timure is on the old trade route to Tibet. A fort at Rasuwagadi in Timure is a historical reminder of the Nepal-Tibet relations that has existed for many centuries. A suspension bridge here links Nepal and Tibet. Briddim village offers warm Tamang hospitality at the home - stays run by community members. In addition, visitors can also visit local monasteries of Dukchu Gomba (monastery) chosen as sacred site by the great Tibetan Lama - Guru Rinpoche and Chukla Khnaga Gomba. Upper Mustang trekking 3,810m/12,500ft


The historical remote Mustang trek unseal the once Forbidden Kingdom of Mustang, tucked away from the rest of the world, lies just north of the main Himalayan range of Nepal. Annapurna Circuit Trek Nepal
